We know these cameras are coming soon, but beyond the a7SIII being a low light monster and the a6700 being a snappier camera not much is known. The a6700 should share a sensor with the X-T3 though so 4k 60p and a9 or better performance should be featured.

Some of the Wasabi Sony NP-FZ100 that were shipped from the original batch were defective so the manufactures has halted shipments. Wasabi generic batteries are generally pretty good and I use them in my Fujifilm and Sony cameras so I am sure they will address the issue shortly and take care of exchanges. Stay tuned for details. If your batteries aren’t giving you an error than you are one of the lucky few to get a functional generic Wasabi Sony NP-FZ100

LEX Optical started an interesting project for film fans that want to use E-mount glass. I’m curious to see where it goes since this is a one man team project, but there does seem to be some indication that he plans to sell this camera to interested buyers. Hopefully he can produce enough of them, because I am sure there will be a rather large group of people interested in picking on up. This project is definitely a labor of love and speaks to Sony’s growing audience of photographers.
“LEX is the first camera which lets you use your E-Mount lenses with your favorite film emulsions. So far it has taken us more than a year to get this design right. When we are done LEX will be an open source project but we may crowd fund a small batch of devices before opening the design files up.”
