Sony a7II Body and Kit Savings: Save $400

The Sony a7II has been discounted below $1,000 and with the kit lens, it’s just south of $1,200. This is probably meant to answer the Canon RP, which just started shipping. The Sony a7II is still a great camera and I think many would prefer it to the Canon RP because it is a mature camera system. I wonder if we will see the Sony a7III come down in price a little to $1,800 in the future.

DPR: Zeiss ZX1 Hands-on

DPR went hands-on with the Zeiss ZX1 and it’s actually kind of shocking that such a large size battery only offers 250 shots as per CIPA standards. The crease on the back screen that delineates control icons and the images area also sounds interesting. Let’s hope the file management system is well thought out though because 500gb of internal storage could turn into a mess quickly even with the ability to offload photos to a USB-C drive. Sony a6400 vlogging Microphone Solutions

Leave it to third parties like SmallRig to fix one the Sony a6400’s biggest design flaws for vloggers the hot shoe location. Now thanks to SmallRig there are two reasonably priced solutions to mount a microphone out of the way of the selfie screen.

Above you can see the SmallRig’s relocation plate that uses the neck strap mount for stability and below their a6400 cage that allows for complete customization. The relocation plate and cage are only available on SmallRig’s site at this time, but when they are relased they will be available on Amazon also.

ULYSSES RX100M6 Bodysuit Coming Soon

CACICA Limited Company started selling the leather camera case “RX100M6 Bodysuit” as a new product of the ULYSSES brand at the direct sales net shop “Photo Life Laboratory ULYSSES”. The actual price is 17,496 yen including tax.

This product is a magnet detachable camera case that can be attached to Sony’s compact digital camera “RX100” series (RX100M6, RX100M5A, RX100M5, RX100M4, RX100M3).

A neodymium magnet is embedded in the bottom of the case, and it is made to be able to fix by attaching the attached metal plate (thickness 0.5 mm) to the bottom of the camera with double-sided tape.

Also, in order to prevent sideslip, a wooden stopper was provided at the position of the tripod hole.

Adopt slim grip to improve finger hook.
