Sony 35mm f/1.8 FE (SEL35F18F) Coming Next

Nokishita leaked that the Sony 35mm f/1.8 FE (SEL35F18F) will be the next lens that Sony announces via twitter today. Hopefully, it will be priced to sell since Sony already has a great 35mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/2.8.

“We have confirmed that the “SEL35F18F” model number has been added to Sony’s latest product list. If not a mistake, it should be the lens to be announced next”

Lots of Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD FE details have been leaking all over weibo for the past few days and from one of the more reliable ones and it is looking like the 17-28mm will come in at $999. We should see the announcement sometime tomorrow hopefully so stay tuned.

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 Prime Coming

An account that leaks and gives credit on weibo released some news earlier today about an upcoming Sigma 35mm f/1.2 lens coming to Sony E-mount in July. This leak has been repreted by other leakers on weibo This will be one of their first lenses designed for mirrorless and there should be more to come this year.

“[Highly credible] Sigma’s big move is coming! The first lens designed for full-scale, non-reverse design will be 35mm f/1.2 FE, which may be released in July. This will also become the autofocus lens with the largest aperture in the Sony FE system. At the same time, the source also revealed that Sigma will release more native FE lenses during the year.”
