Sony APS-C Global Shutter Sensor Are Coming

Image Sensor World spotted 6 new global shutter sensors on Sony’s website. The IMX367LLA, IMX342LQA, IMX392LQR, IMX305LQR, IMX304LLR/LQR, and IMX267LLR/LQR are very interesting and range from 2.35MP 1/2.3-inch IMX392LLR/LQR to 31.5MP APS-C IMX342LLA/LQA.

The IMX342LQA could easily go in a camera like the Sony a6700 or a7000 and cause disruption in the APS-C Market. As exciting as the Fujifilm X-T3 launch has been an APS-C camera with a global shutter would be huge and shake up APS-C cameras. Read More »

Profoto Teases That Something Small is Coming

Profoto is teasing a new product coming in one week and they claim it will be compact. It looks like some kind of B light from the profile and I tried to raise the exposure some so we can see more detail. Then again maybe it will be the Profoto A2 since the A1 is compact. They also released a video that someone messed up the permissions for, but I included it here anyway.
