The New 60 Megapixel IMX455AQR Sensor Spec Sheet Leaked

Webo leaked the new Sony IMX455AQR sensor with 60MP, 8k video, and Native 64 ISO. It seems to be based on the IMX551 and it should be on the market in early 2019. This sensor could be in a future Sony camera or the future or D860 or D6/Z8.

Specs of IMX455AQR sensor:

  • IMX455 (Low-Spec of IMX551 Prototype):
  • Effective pixels: 9600×6400
  • Recommend recording pixels: 60MP
  • 11/12/14/16Bit ADC
  • Full Pixel 9fps/14Bit ADC
  • SLVS-EC 8Lane
  • Single ADC in Video Mode
  • 12-ADC in Still Picture Mode
  • Native ISO 64/400

The upcoming Sony a9 Mark II/a7R IV will most likely use the higher end IMX551 sensor and you can find the specs for that sensor below to compare the IMX551 and IMX455:

  • SLVS-EC: 16 Lane
  • VideoMode: 12-ADC
