  • They make their lenses affordable so that any photographers can have 4, 5, or 6 lenses
  • Lenses registered after 2011 are eligible for the Tamron VIP program
  • Levels of the VIP Program for four lenses, five lenses or six+ lenses make you eligible for silver, gold and platinum VIP levels
  • Tamron just had a VIP event for platinum level members in Santa Fe
  • They prioritize high quality followed by size/weight
  • For E-mount, Tamron emphasizes size/weight more than other platforms
  • Tamron emphasizes video most on E-Mount and it’s why they used an RXD silent focusing motor.
