DPRTV Mystery Lens Likely New Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM

Sony’s recent 24mm f/1.4 GM lens was very well received and it looks like Sony is looking to follow it up with a Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM lens. The strangely blurred lens was spotted on the DPRForums at 3:06 in DPRTV’s Nikon Z7 II Review. The lens has a 67mm filter thread and the minimum focus distance is 27cm/0.89ft.

It’s interesting they are matching the front filter thread size of 67mm with the Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM, but because of the difference in minimal focus distance, we are 100% sure this is a new lens that DPR is trying to hide. They probably should have just changed the glass out.
