Laowa 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 and 100mm f2.8 2:1 Ultra Macro

From the Laowa booth – Laowa 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 and 100mm f2.8 2:1 Ultra Macro:

  • 10-18mm zoom is the smallest and widest zoom for E-mount
  • IBIS needs to be set manually in the menus if you want to leave it turned on
  • Laowa is always trying to offer features that others dont
  • There is a 37mm filter thread on the inside of the 10-24mm lens.
  • Laowa is currently making a 100mm filter
  • Not sure about price point, but maybe $700-800
  • The 100mm macro is a world’s first 2:1 magnification ratio 100mm
  • It still has infinity focus
  • Not sure about the price yet, but will be in the region of $500
  • Laowa is really into macro photography
  • They are also showing off a 25-100mm t2.9 cinema lens
  • The 25-100mm was designed from the ground up to be a cinema lens
  • Not sure about the price yet, but will be around $10,000
  • No camera yet, but they could get into cameras
  • For right now Laowa is working on electronics for EXIF data and maybe more later
  • The 7.5mm f/2 is also featured in the video with the 12mm f/1.8 and it is very small and both will be around $500
  • Laowa only uses metal and no plastic

Laowa is certainly working on some impressive glass.
