In terms of optical performance, the lens exhibits significant barrel distortion at 10mm in RAW images, which diminishes as the focal length increases. Vignetting is noticeable at wider apertures but improves upon stopping down. The lens delivers excellent center sharpness across the zoom range, with very good to excellent performance in the outer image field. Lateral chromatic aberrations are minimal, and the lens handles flare well. While the bokeh quality is generally smooth, out-of-focus highlights can appear slightly busy due to the use of aspherical elements.
Overall, the Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G is a versatile and high-performing lens, especially suited for video applications, though photographers should be mindful of its distortion and vignetting characteristics.

Sony “Special Event” on November 20-21 Announced

Sony announced its launch event for what will probably be the Sony A1 II or Sony a7V plus the Sony 24-70mm f/2 zoom that has been rumored for some time. The event will take place November 20th-21st.

“We will be holding a fan event to express our gratitude to all of you who regularly use the α. This is a special event where you can get your hands on a mirrorless α and experience it for yourself. We will also be holding special events that will make you love α even more, including a special talk show and a special photography experience booth, in addition to a public display of masterpieces by professionals.”
