If you have ever wondered about the Sony RX1R II Sony Alpha Lab’s has put together an incredibly thorough review for you. I owned the previous generation Sony RX1 and the IQ was amazing, but the AF was lacking, but the new RX1R II has corrected many of the originals short comings, while maintaining the amazing IQ and high ISO performance. Sony at CES 2017

Sony will be live streaming their CES Press Conference during the show on ustream on January 4th 2017 at 5:00 PM PST if you’re interested in tuning in add it to your calendar. We won’t have to rely on any cell phone streams this time around, but it’s unlikely they will be launching any cameras so far unless photorumors comes across something.

DPReview: Sony a6500

DPReview completed their Sony a6500 review and it’s overall pretty favorable, but they didn’t put the camera in the same category as the Fujifilm X-T2 even though it compares well against the X-T2. Unfortunately the way DPReview does their scoring doesn’t allow for a true comparison of the cameras across categories. So even though the X-T2 scores a 86% to the 85% of the a6500 the rest of the bars are meaningless on the final page. Maybe they will do an addendum. You can read the full review here.
