The Voigtlander Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 ASPH for E-mount is available for preorder at B&H Photo and Adorama, but Amazon already has them in stock from cameraquest. Cameraquest is one of Voigtlander’s main distributors, so maybe we will see this lens in a bit earlier than November at B&H Photo and Adorama.
Sony semiconductors updated their CMOS Image Sensors for Consumer Cameras and it now likely shows the sensor inside the Fujifilm X-T3, but it also might show a future Sony mirrorless sensor the IMX271. While it’s not a BSI sensor it does allow for a faster readout than the IMX571 insides the Fujifilm X-T3. Sony’s next camera could give us Fujifilm X-T3 like performance with a faster 24mp sensor readout than the IMX571 insides the X-T3. Sony could also offer a crop mode shooting mode at lower resolution like Fujifilm does that would go beyond Fujifilm’s 30fps.
There is also a new BSI 24mp Full Frame sensor with similar specs to the APS-C sensor that is available. This is believed to be the sensor inside the Sony a7III.

Photoscala is reporting that Net SE The Company Behind Meyer Optik Görlitz is insolvent, which is very bad news for people that financed their kickstarters and Indiegogos.
“On October 1, 2018, the insolvency proceedings have been opened on the assets of the company. Thus, it is also clear: lenses pre-financed by crowdfunding will no longer come and be delivered, and the money paid in will be lost.”
We previously reported in August that there was a good chance many Meyer Optik Görlitz lenses wouldn’t ship and now it looks like getting your money back will be next to impossible if you did not get your lens yet. B&H Photo still has some lenses that were actually produced, but don’t count on receiving anything from Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
As of this moment, Meyer Optik Görlitz’s website does not have details about the bankruptcy.

Sony announced another compact camera today the Sony W800. You can read the detailed specs below if the short spec sheet doesn’t have enough details.
The Sony HX-99 was added to B&H Photo’s website today without much of an announcement. Pre-orders will start tomorrow Tuesday, October 16th.
