Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron products.
Thank you for using Tamron products.
We are pleased to inform you that the firmware update for the 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD (Model A071) for Sony E-mount, full-frame mirrorless cameras, is now available.
This is an update regarding our announcement on July 10, we have confirmed that the Model A071 for Sony mirrorless cameras do not work properly.
The firmware update is available through Sony E-mount camera bodies.

This update improves the following issues:
When AF-S mode, the AF operation rarely stops in the middle and the focus indicator lights up even though it is not in focus.

Viltrox released a firmware update for fans in China that makes the Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 into a Viltrox 85mm f/1.6. This update adds a lot of value to your lens and makes it an even more attractive purchase (B&H Photo / Amazon) for a photographer to that do not own it already. You can download the update here. I also have a copy so if the source removes the file contact me and I will upload it to dropbox or google drive myself.
Warning
This firmware is not official in the US, but there haven’t been any issues reported from the update so use at your own risk. Also, this update seems to be for version 1 lenses at this time.
