The Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS’s development was first announced in January. The lens is supposed to ship in early 2024, so the page is just a placeholder that B&H Photo recently created.

A new FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens from Sony is under development and will feature the incredible high-resolution and spectacularly beautiful bokeh true to Sony’s acclaimed line of flagship G Master lenses. Made for the Sony E-mount, this lens will deliver an elevated shooting experience for professional sports, news and event photographers, and videographers looking to capture decisive moments with higher image quality. The lens will expand on the design of the 600mm f/4 and the 400mm f/2.8 Grand Master OSS lenses.

SIGMA Corporation announces the development of new firmware for the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports with improved image stabilization performance.
By updating the image stabilization algorithm to the newly developed OS2, the image stabilization performance will be improved from approximately 4 stops to approximately 6.5 stops at the wide end and 5.5 stops at the telephoto end. *1
In addition, for Sony E-mount lenses, the AF-C tracking performance has been improved. The firmware is currently in the final development stage and will be released in the near future.
