Sony has announced an event on November 8th and 9th that will likely include the announcement of the Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS along with the Sony a9III. The special event poster is certainly an interesting one and the dot depth field above seems to imply a depth map which is generally created by LiDAR. I doubt Sony is going LiDAR yet, but they could create a 3D depth map to enhance bokeh and other aspects of a photo like iPhones do today.
