Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VX D Rough Size Comparison

At one point I owned every lens Tamron made for Sony-E mount and they were all excellent to very good for the price. My guess is this lens will end up being very good for the price/size/weight compared to the various E-mount lenses on the market. Sony has a few comparable lenses and I was curious how close in size this lens would be to similar lenses from Tamron so I decided to compare the Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VX D, Sony E 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS LE, Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS, and Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD using Camerasize.com.

The lens size is probably only off by a few millimeters compared to the others due to the angle of the photo, but it seems to be about the same size or even smaller than all of the lenses above. It will also be lighter than any of the above lenses except the Tamron 70-300mm, but it will not have the solid feel that Sony lenses have. This should be a great lens for travel covering a crazy 27mm-450mm due to the 1.5x crop factor of APS-C and it might even be good enough for professional use knowing Tamron.
