Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM: Lighter, Cheaper, And Smaller Than The Competition

Canon and Nikon made comments about the Sony E-mount when they released their mirrorless cameras and how Sony couldn’t make f/1.2 AF glass for their system due to the mount. So Sony made them eat their words by releasing a smaller, lighter, faster, cheaper lens than the competition. Above are the Nikon and Canon 50mm f/1.2 equivalent lenses compared to the new Sony 50mm f/1.2. The comparison comes from camerasize.com where you can compare the new 50mm f/1.2 to other lenses.

Also, a reader sent me a comparison that includes the Lumix S – 50mm f/1.4 ProLeica and uses camera size. Thanks for the comparison and keep them coming.
