The Tamron 28-75m has better CA performance than the G Master according to Dustin Abbott, which is surprising and impressive. The Tamron also has a unique macro advantage at 28mm, which the GM can’t match. Of course, Dustin picks the GM as the best overall, but I am not sure I agree with him after watching his extensive testing. It’s well worth watching both parts of his review if you haven’t seen the first part yet, but I simply can’t see myself ever buying the Sony 24-70mm GM anymore especially since I tend to prefer high-quality prime lenses to zooms.
