Lightroom Classic Now Supports Sony Pixel Shift Files (ARQ)

In Adobe’s last update they added support for Sony proprietary pixel shift file format (ARQ) to Lightroom without announcing support. Hopefully, this is a sign that they plan to more broadly support the format/technique because you still must merge 4 ARW pixel shift files with a program like Sony Imaging Edge to create an ARQ file that is ready for processing in Lightroom. I haven’t really used pixel shift myself due to the amount of work needed to maximize results, but the more convenient they make the technology to use the more likely it is that Sony a7RIII owners will try the technology out.
