Sony FX3 Firmware 6.00 Was Also Pulled and Rereleased

Sony pulled the FX3 firmware like they did the a7RV firmware that was rereleased the other day.

  • We suspended the Ver. 6.00 software release on 09-13-2024 due to some products failing to update. However, after taking the necessary measures, we resumed the release on 10-09-2024. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If your camera successfully updated to Ver. 6.00, you may continue using it without issue. (Added on 10-09-2024)

Sony a7RV Firmware 3.00 Rereleased

Sony released firmware 3.00 for the Sony a7RV in September and then pulled it the following day because it was bricking some cameras. Since then Sony has released a fixed firmware update that you can download below.

Various Sony A1 Mark II Rumors

Sony A1 Mark II rumors have surfaced all over weibo and it appears that Sony will stick with a 50-megapixel sensor that may or may not be the same as the current A1. The rumors are unverified, but it seems that Sony will add an AI chip, but not the Sony a9III body.

More rumored specifications:
The new machine uses the same 50-megapixel sensor as A1;
equipped with a new AI chip;
improved continuous shooting speed;
supports C2PA certification;
equipped with a first-class autofocus system;
the same body design as A1;
equipped with SD + CFexpress Type A 4.0 dual card slot design;

The camera is expected in 2025.
