Adobe Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC 2018 Announced

So the rumors were true and Adobe did, in fact, release a new version of Lightroom, which is broken down into CC and CC classic. This CC seems to be geared toward professionals that want to access all of there pictures and edits everywhere, while CC classic is more local storage based. I am currently installing my copy and I will give it a try, but uploading all of my photos to the cloud is going to take a long time. This update is going to be make or break for Adobe because many do not like the subscription model and their storage prices aren’t great especially for a7RII owners. Companies like ON1 might grow quite a bit because of this move. I wish Adobe allowed access to other cloud platforms so that prices could be competitive. You can watch more videos about the new features in Lightroom CC on Adobe’s Youtube Channel here.

Photons to Photos: Sony RX100 Mark V

Sony has consistently improved the Sony RX100 series since it’s release, but only minimally. I still really enjoy my original RX100 and they obviously will not replace an a7, but these are still great little feature filled cameras. You can check out the full chart at Photons to Photos here if you want to compare the RX100 Mark 5 to more cameras.

Sony at NAB NYC and PhotoPlus 2017

Sony is expected to announce new cameras for photos and video this year at Photo Plus and/or NAB. Hopefully, we will Sony will announce the Sony a7 Mark III that everyone has been waiting for. It’s highly likely that the a7III will simply be a slightly less powerful a9 with a single SD card slot. We will know soon enough.
