  • Body: all E-mount with the exception of NEX-5, NEX-3, NEX-C3, NEX-VG10 and PXW-FS7
    Note: When using the PXW-FS7M2, please follow the procedure in the PXW-FS7M2 instruction manual

The Sony a6400 is an interesting camera because it’s yet again another incremental upgrade and came after Sony promised they are taking APS-C seriously. The only real difference between the a6400 and the a6300 is the tilt screen, slightly wider grip, slightly bigger buffer and the new AF system, which is good but not perfect.

If I were picking one today I would probably go a6400 unless I could get some substantial savings on the a6300, but I think many readers would rather wait for the professional a6700 or a7000 to be announced. Sony is off to a slow start revitalizing their APS-C camera bodies, but let’s hope they announce some quality lenses soon to support the format.

Techart Pro Sony E-Mount to Nikon Z-Mount Adapter

The new Techart Pro Sony E-Mount to Nikon Z-Mount adapter might be a game changer for Nikon if they can produce a highly desirable mirrorless body. Granted the adapter has to work correctly for this to be the case, but I have a lot of experience with Techart and their products have worked flawlessly for me. I tested a lot of lenses on their adapters and they all work very well for me. This adapter could allow a lot of Nikon fans that switched to Sony to switch back or it could allow Canon fans that switched to Sony thanks to AF adapters to switch over to Nikon. We will have to follow this story as it develops. Techart adapters can be found on Amazon.
