The Model A063 has evolved further as a successor to the highly acclaimed “28-75mm F / 2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036)” (hereafter Model A036). While maintaining the size of the Model A036, which has a reputation for being compact and easy to use, the design has been reviewed from scratch and the optical system has been redesigned to achieve even better depiction performance. It has the performance to support the latest digital cameras with increasing pixel count. A linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) is newly adopted for AF drive, achieving high-speed and high-precision AF. The shortest shooting distance at the wide-angle end is 0.18m, the maximum shooting magnification is 1: 2.7, and the close-up shooting capability is also evolving.
