Yodobashi Camera’s Best-Selling Lenses of 2023

Yodobashi Camera a top Asian retailer published its top 20 selling lenses of 2023 and surprisingly there isn’t a single prime lens on the list. Further, Sony came in 1st and 2nd, but Sony tied Canon and Nikon with 5 lenses each on the list. If we break the list down further 10 lenses were for E-mount while Canon RF mount and Nikon Z mount have 5 lenses on the list.

The Chuichi Kogaku SPEEDMASTER 20mm F0.95 is a wide-angle single focus lens for APS-C sensors that achieves an aperture of 0.95.

Super large diameter
The brightness of the aperture F value of 0.95 allows you to suppress ISO sensitivity and obtain clear images with low noise even in scenes that require a high shutter speed or in environments with insufficient light such as at night or in a dark room.

Reduces flare and distortion
By using aspherical lenses, ED lenses, and ultra-high refractive index lenses, all aberrations are suppressed and flare and barrel distortion are significantly reduced.

Minimum shooting distance 0.3m
By utilizing the perspective of a wide-angle lens to make nearby objects appear larger and distant objects smaller, it is possible to create eye-catching and dynamic expressions in close-up shots.
