Adorama made a quick introduction video for the new Profoto Air Remote TTL-S for Sony. It’s standard Profoto if you are familiar, but some are new to these kinds of high end lighting setups. Sony a99II vs Nikon D5 and Sony a7R II

The Sony a99 Mark II caught a lot of flack when it was announced, but photographers are loving it and the cheapish high quality lens selection that’s available for it. Lenses like the Minolta 80-200mm (I have seen these listed as low as $450) can go head to head with significantly more expensive lenses like the Sony SAL70200G2 70-200mm […]

Techart Pro Follow-up

Techart Pro has grown a lot since my original review and it is now widely avalibe (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama), but I haven’t seen a lot of great reviews of the adapter until now. Sony Fell From 2nd to 3rd in BCN Awards

Sony fell from 2nd to 3rd place behind Canon in mirrorless sales for 2016 in Japan according to BCNranking. The 7.9% drop was likely due to the the Sony A6300 and A6500 being the only “new” Sony cameras for 2016. Hopefully we will see a new a7R this year along side an a7S and a7. Canon dominated thanks […]

Red Helium 8k S35 Pushes The Sony a7RII Down DXO’s List Another Spot

The Red Helium 8k S35 pushed the Sony a7RII further down DXO’s list, by scoring an unbelievably high overall score of 108. DXO might have to rethink their testing methodology soon. It’s also interesting that they included a camera in their rankings that seems to do some denoising, but still refuse to include Fujifilm in their […]
