Sony just released firmware 02 for the 50mm f/1.8 SEL50F18F in Japan. I tested the updater on my lens and it works fine on OS X. The update to 02 noticeably improves autofocus performance. You can currently download it from Japan, but it should be available in America soon.
The new Sony a7RII firmware adds radio controlled lighting, improved stabilization and temperature control. It’s good to see Sony continue to improve an already great camera. You can download the new firmware here.
