Sony Was Over Taken By Canon According to BCN

According to BCN Canon overtook Sony in Japan for the first time taking in 30.5% of the market. This is the first time Canon has topped the sales charts in five months since May 2024. Canon’s momentum was thanks to Canon EOS R50 and EOS R10 sales.

Sony barely missed the top spot coming in at 30% which the Sony ZV-E10II and the continuation of strong sales of the Sony a7CII largely drove. From there Nikon came in third with 14.5% of the market, followed by others like Panasonic, Olympus, Ricoh, Pentax, etc… with 14.3%, and finally Fujifilm with 10.7% coming in 4th over all.
