Pros:

  • very good image quality in the frame centre across the whole focal range,
  • sensible image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,
  • lack of more serious problems with longitudinal chromatic aberration,
  • negligible lateral chromatic aberration,
  • low spherical aberration,
  • moderate astigmatism,
  • silent, quick, and accurate autofocus,
  • slight vignetting on the APS-C sensor,
  • sensible performance against bright light,
  • moderate “focus breathing”.

Cons:

  • high vignetting on full frame,
  • noticeable distortion on the widest angle of view.
