Interesting New Sony Sensors Found

Roseek is a Shanghai Ruishi Machine Vision Technology Co. founded in 2006 that focuses on industrial embedded imaging equipment. Its main products are smart cameras, which are widely used in ITS (Intelligent Transportation System), industrial machine vision, and intelligent surveillance.

They have some interesting global shutter sensors from Sony listed that are not on Sony semiconductors website. One such sensor the IMX661LQA-C comes in monochrome and color variant but the sensor is slightly larger than the GFX sensor at 3.6″ instead of 3.4″. If GFX glass can cover the sensor it could be used in an even higher-end GFX120 or GFX127. It could also be used in a future medium format camera from Hasselblad, PhaseOne, or even Sony.

They also have some interesting APS-C sensors listed and even 1″ and 1.1″

Once again Roseek largely deals with industrial applications, but the sensors they have listed could end up in future cameras. A few industrial sensors have ended up in cameras like the GH5S in recent years so it is not unheard of.
