The Sony A9… no big deal

Lots of hype going on around about the Sony a9 and while I am excited for it’s release I remain leery. I have owned a lot of Sony’s over the years and none have satisfied me user experience wise, but all of them have had at least one stand out feature that no other camera of its generation or camera class could compete with. I would love to stop the love/hate relationship I currently have with Sony cameras. At least the glass has greatly improved in recent years.
I think that bloggers are being overly optimistic about Sony surpassing Canon at this point, but it is certainly coming in the not to distance future. Canon/Nikon need to step up their R&D big time if they want to remain competitive going forward, because there are a lot of great professional mirrorless options now.
