Viltrox Introduces New AF Adapter For Sony E-mount

The Viltrox NF-E1 is a new adapter from Viltrox offering:

Function
Viltrox NF-E1 mount adapter is designed to allow Nikon F-mount series lens to be used on Sony camera with E-mount lens. By adapter mounting it can achieve functions of EXIF signal transmission, AF(autofocus) and adjustable aperture,etc.

Sony Financial Results for Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2017

Sony published their latest financial results, and while they expect their sales to increase by 10.4% they are still feeling the effect of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquakes. Sony Camera’s Are No Longer Ideal For Astrophotography

Ian Norman of the Lonelyspeck.com wrote an open letter to Sony about their “Star Eater” noise reduction issue. You can read the full letter here. If TLDR firmware 3.30 on the a7RII and 2.10 on the a7SII change Sony’s noise reduction algorithm in a way that removes starts from 4 second and longer exposures. Hopefully, Sony issues a firmware fix soon.
