Photons to Photos published their final Sony a7RIII results and the Mark 3 is indeed a very slight improvement over the Sony a7RII. You can manipulate the results here if you wish, but of real interest is the big round-up of 40-50MP cameras, where the Sony a7RIII edges out the Nikon D850 at base ISO as you can see below. When comparing the Sony a7RIII vs Nikon D850 vs Fujifilm GFX vs Canon 5D Mark IV the Sony a7RIII is only bested by the Fujifilm GFX 50S. You can manipulate this roundup here.

Commlite CM-ENF-E1 Pro Nikon F Mount Lens to Sony E Mount Autofocus Adapter Firmware Version 6 Now Available

The Commlite CM-ENF-E1 and CM-ENF-E1 Pro have received firmware updates with added Sony a9 Support, but if you don’t own a Sony a9 they recommend you use Firmware version 5 for best compatibility. It seems only Pro adapters with version 6 are shipping now from Amazon though.

DPReview: Sony a7RIII Receives Gold Award With Score of 90%, Which is Only Matched by The a7RII

The Sony a7RIII topped its category of camera, just like the Sony a7RII did in 2015 with a 90% overall score. The only camera close is the Nikon D850, which shouldn’t be surprising. I kind of feel like DPReview needs to adjust their categories a little at this point because the a7RIII and a7RII shouldn’t have identical scores, especially if you compare the individual scored parts of the two, but having the two cameras have identical overall scores makes the overall score a little confusing. I realize both cameras are close in functionality, but even a 1% difference would make them clearly different. You can read the full review here and see the Pros/Cons below.

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Shipping September 2018 According to One Retailer

This could be a placeholder date based on a projection or it could be based on internal data, but B&H Photo has the Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS listed as shipping September 2018. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these lenses with the new Sony a7RIII. It might even compel me to get a Sony a9 again.
