More Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD FE Reviews

Some have discouraged comparing the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD FE and Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM, but almost everyone that has the lens in hand says that it is sharper than the G Master. Hopefully, more of these lenses become available soon because I know a lot of photographers are waiting to get their hands on one. It has also been reported that some of the lenses that have experienced the most extreme focusing issue on Youtube might have had a mechanical defect since so many haven’t experienced the problem or rarely have issues with the lens.

DPReviewTV: Sony RX100 VI The Ultimate Easy Camera

Chris and Jordan take the new Sony RX100VI out and find it to be a more useful camera than the Sony RX100V thanks to the new lens that reaches 200mm. Throughout the review they are very complementary, but keep talking about how the compact camera market is pretty dead and how the price point is hard to swallow.

They even suggest Sony introduce a RX200 line with some of the features removed from the current top of the line RX100 to keep the price down, but isn’t that the reason why Sony currently markets 6 models of the RX100. The original RX100 is down to $369 and it’s still one of my favorite pocket cameras. Still a great review/preview by the guys if you like their style.

Pro
Good High ISO
Amazing shooting speed
Awesome AF
New improved color science
Can still use menu when buffer is clearing
Great focal length
My menu is great
Touch Operation is useful
New EVF doesn’t require multiple steps to use
Killer slow motion with AF

Cons
Only UHS-I still
Over Heats quickly when shooting video
Screen goes dark when the overheat warning comes on the first time
Ok Macro
Very Expensive
Took the ND filter way
Can’t plug in a microphone

First Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8 Review

Christopher Frost Photography published the first test video of the Samyang AF 24mm f/2.8. This lens looks like a great lightweight option for your Sony a7 or even APS-C camera. According to Christopher, it is sharp wide open, but it reaches its peak performance around f/5.6.
