Basically, eye AF for animals and 12 more lenses coming without specs… The announcement of them working on AI is kind of a late one because the camera recognizing anything is basically the start of the use of AI in camera and it can be expanded to other areas, but Sony didn’t elaborate. This is also why Canon/Nikon must move to mirrorless sooner rather than later.

Also, Sony takes a jab at Canon and Nikon for using such large mounts. Sony believes the mount size is unnecessary and points to their 400mm f/2.8 and 24mm f/1.4 for evidence.

Sony registered the Sony DSC-WX800 in Korea after registering the Sony DSC-WX700. It looks like Sony is registering a few compact cameras.

Sony Savings Sunday and Sony a7III Stock Check

We are between sales now, but there are some good deals from Sony for trade-ins and lots of third-party lenses still on sale, which includes some cine kits with several thousands of dollars of savings. The Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE is still $250 off, which is the most it has been discounted yet.

The Sony a7III also might be in more supply now even though Adorama sold out the other day. B&H Photo currently has some cameras in stock and Amazon is back ordered for months.
