Super-Compact, Lightweight Sensor Extension
Increase your pro cine-style capture mobility and ease of use with the E and PL-mount VENICE 2 Extension System Mini from Sony. Compatible with VENICE 2 8K and 6K cameras, this 8.6K mini successor to the Rialto sensor block extension is super compact and lightweight, letting you position your camera in the tightest setups.
70% Smaller Form for Increased Mobility
- This mini extension system separates the sensor block and lens from the body of your VENICE 2 camera, greatly increasing your mobility without lessening the full-frame image quality.
- Ideal for handheld and gimbal use and jib, crane, and car rigs, this super compact and lightweight system is 70% smaller than the prior version, enabling you to capture shots from tight spaces that were previously inaccessible.
Detachable Cables
The mini extension system features a 14.8′ detachable cable for transmitting video and metadata, letting you first easily position it in your setup and then connect it to your camera body. An optional 39.3′ cable is available separately.
Drop-In ND Filter System
Quickly control your exposure using the included drop-in ND filter system. The included nine-filter set comprises clear, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2,1.5, 1.8, 2.1, and 2.4 gradations with additional filters available separately.
Full-Frame 8.6K VENICE 2 Sensor
This extension is built around the same full-frame 8.8K sensor found in the VENICE 2 8K camera. Its compatibility with both the VENICE 2 8K and VENICE 2 6K means existing VENICE 2 6K owners can now access 8.6K capture with the v4.0 firmware update.
Cooke /i Metadata
The PL-mount lens mount adapter supports Cooke /i protocol metadata and the import of external lens data.
Built-In Gyro with Metadata
This sensor block has a built-in gyro sensor for capturing tilt and roll metadata, improving your editing and post-production workflow.
Assignable User Buttons
Two user-assignable buttons provide quick access to key camera functions like run/stop and false color and light up when in use.
Sony E-Mount with ARRI PL Adapter
This Sony E-mount extension includes an ARRI PL adapter, letting you use a wide array of lenses. Rear flange adjustment is supported for fine-tuning select lenses.
Requires Latest Firmware
The VENICE 2 firmware v.4.0, released in August of 2025, will be required to use the Extension System Mini.
