The Model A047 to be released this time is the first telephoto zoom that covers 300mm for our full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera. Based on the concept of “I want you to enjoy telephoto easily,” we have achieved the world’s smallest and lightest * 1) high-quality telephoto zoom lens for full-size mirrorless cameras in the 300mm class.
In addition, we have adopted a simple drip-proof structure that takes into consideration outdoor shooting. The filter diameter is φ67mm, which is the same as our full-size mirrorless large-diameter zoom lens series. As a result, we have succeeded in achieving both the overwhelming lightness of 545g, the compactness of a slim lens barrel with a maximum diameter of φ77mm, and high image quality. The lens configuration of 15 elements in 10 groups with LD (Low Dispersion) lenses arranged appropriately suppresses various aberrations such as axial chromatic aberration that are likely to occur in telephoto lenses. The 300mm lens, which is frequently used as a telephoto zoom lens, provides high resolution performance from the center to every corner of the screen. In addition, the number of lean lenses that contributes to weight reduction and the effect of Tamron’s BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating, which has a reputation for anti-reflection performance, combine to make it extremely clear.
