It’s Amazon Prime Day

As usual, I have dug through Amazon’s obscene amount of deals to find the most relevant to readers. There should be something for everyone and this year Amazon has done a pretty good job of creating collections of deals so I do not have to share hundreds of links. There are still tons of Sony savings, but Prime Day is only two days out of the year. Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS Discontinued

The Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS is listed as discontinued at B&H Photo and Adorama, but there are a few lenses available on Amazon still. If Sony doesn’t replace the lens then Tamron and Laowa have affordable lenses at a similar focal length. The discontinuation comes in advance of the Sony a6700 launch.

Sony’s a6700 Announcement Event on July 12th is Imminent

Sony posted its Livestream for the Sony a6700 announcement event, below are three plausible sets of specs.

Previously Rumorsed Specs here

  • Name: a6700
  • Sensor: 26mp (same FX30 sensor)
  • IBIS: 7 stops
  • Ai processor (same Sony ZV-E1 processor)
  • 6k30p 10bit. 4k120 (1.19 crop). 4k120 will come in FW update along with it
  • 3.69m dot viewfinder
  • 2 SD/CF type A cards
  • The body will be a new design. It will still have the EVF on the left, but it will have a scroll wheel on the front under the shutter button. The grip is redesigned and more ergonomic. The body will be about 3mm deeper and 4mm taller.
  • Basically, it is going to be a stills version of the fx30. Due to the cost of the VF, shutter, and a few other things it is looking like the price will be $1999.
