Thypoch Lenses Are Coming To E-Mount With A Unique Depth-of-Field Indicator

Photorumors is reporting that Chinese lens maker Thypoch will start bringing its M-mount lenses to Sony E-Mount, Fujifilm X-Mount, Nikon-Z Mount, and Canon RF Mount. Thypoch seems to be pretty well-respected from the reviews I have found online and they seem to be priced fairly.

Thypoch currently manufactures a Thypoch Simera 28mm f/1.4 and Thypoch Simera 35mm f/1.4 for M-mount that can be adapted to other mounts. In the future, it is rumored they will release a Thypoch Eureka 50mm f/2 that I hope is similar to a classic Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron, but they might be venturing away from the “Leica look.” Thypoch lenses also have a unique depth-of-field indicator for photographers who like to zone focus for street shooting that will be awesome on a compact camera body it is similar to a Kern MacroSwitar lens.

Sony ZV-E10 II, Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II, and Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.0 GM Updates

According to Weibo Sony is expected to launch a few products very soon including the Sony ZV-E10 II in May. The Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II, and Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.0 GM in June. This will be followed by a product camera announcement that will likely be a new full-frame camera and lens.

Sony’s new ZV-E10 II camera will be released in May. It has been further confirmed that the new ZV-E10 II is a simplified version of the A6700 camera, adding new AI technology, and will also be compatible with the new APS-C E mount. The kit lens was released at the same time and is specially optimized for video recording. There is currently no detailed parameter information about the new kit lens.

Sony may release two new lenses in June 2024, namely FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II and FE 24-70mm f/2.0 GM.

-FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II lens has better image quality and performance than the previous generation. It has a lightweight design and is more compact and lightweight.
-FE 24-70mm f/2.0 GM lens, it is not yet fully confirmed whether it will be released in June. The lens body size is expected to be close to Canon’s 28-70mm f/2.0.

In addition, Sony will release more new products in the second half of the year, such as new full-frame E-mount cameras and full-frame E-mount lenses. More new product parameters and specifications need to wait for news.

Update Addresses
・The operational noise during video recording has been reduced.
・Compatibility with continuous shooting of up to approximately 120 frames per second has been added for the focus modes (AF-S/DMF/MF) on Sony α9 III cameras.
