B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama

overview

  • [Publication number] P2024060165
  • [Release date] 2024-05-02
  • [Name of the invention] Zoom lens and imaging device
  • [Application date] 2022-10-19
  • [Applicant]
    [Identification number] 000133227
    [Name] Tamron Co., Ltd.
  • The present invention provides a zoom lens and an imaging device that are compact and have good optical performance while realizing a wide angle of view and a high zoom ratio.
  • BACKGROUND ART
    [0002]
Conventional imaging lenses for single-lens reflex cameras are equipped with mirrors, optical finders, etc., so it is necessary to ensure a long flange back regardless of the focal length. However, in recent years, small mirrorless cameras that do not have mirrors, optical finders, etc. have become popular. Mirrorless cameras do not require a mirror, optical viewfinder, etc., and do not require a long flange back. Therefore, in accordance with the compact imaging device, there is a strong demand for the imaging lens to have a short back focus and to be compact, and wide-angle lenses are no exception to this.
  • Omission
  • [0013]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a zoom lens and an imaging device that are compact and have good optical performance while realizing a wide angle of view and a high zoom ratio.

Example 1

  • Focal length: 17.51-48.50

Viltrox Announces 7 Lenses Coming to E-mount

Viltrox has made some excellent AF lenses over the years, but it seems they have big plans for autofocus lenses for Sony E-mount that might also show up on other mounts in the future.

  • Viltrox 35mm f/1.2
  • Viltrox 50mm f/1.2
  • Viltrox 85mm f/1.2
  • Viltrox 35mm f/1.4
  • Viltrox 50mm f/1.4
  • Viltrox 85mm f/1.4
  • Viltrox 135mm f/1.2

Interestingly, Viltrox is releasing an almost complete lineup for f/1.2 lenses. Maybe it will help make f/1.2 the new f/1.4 for photography going forward.

Viltrox lenses can be found on its Amazon storefront or B&H Photo.
