“The Chinese company Viltrox has announced a new EF-NEX IV adapter for the installation of Canon EF and EF-S optics on Sony E cameras. The new fifth generation adapter adds two main functions: built-in USB port for firmware upgrade and manual switch between CDAF modes (contrast focusing ) and PDAF (phase). In order for the camera to recognize the new autofocus mode, you need to unplug the adapter from the camera and reconnect it. The adapter allows you to record data EXIF, has support for lenses with image stabilizer.

Viltrox EF-NEX IV is designed for Canon EF Lenes to be used on Sony E mount series mirrorless cameras.
It is compatible with Sony A7 series full frame cameras, featuring funtions of Auto focus(PDAF&CDAF).
It can be upgraded by USB port.
Usage of Focus Mode Switch ( PDAF&CDAF ):
1. Before using, please confirm the focus mode of the lens mount adapter, and then attach it on the camera.
2. If you need to change the focus mode, please take the adapter ring off, slide the focus mode switch, and attach it on the camera then.
