Pros:

  • small, shapely, and lightweight casing for given parameters,

  • sensible image quality on the edge of the APS-C/DX sensor,
  • slight longitudinal chromatic aberration,
  • low lateral chromatic aberration,
  • lack of problems with spherical aberration,
  • moderate vignetting on the smaller APS-C/DX sensor,
  • silent and fast autofocus,
  • low focus breathing,
  • good price/performance and price/parameters index.

Cons:

  • image quality on the edge of the frame near the maximum relative aperture leaves a lot to be desired,
  • huge distortion on RAW files,
  • noticeable coma,
  • significant vignetting on full frame,
  • weak performance against bright light.
