Sony RX1R III:
B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama

DPR published its full review of the Sony RX1R III, and the camera has earned a Gold Award from DPR with an 88%. You can read the full review here or check out the studio scene results here.

Pros:Cons:
  • Excellent image quality
  • Smallest full-frame camera available
  • Impressively lightweight
  • Best-in-class autofocus performance and operation
  • Battery life much improved
  • Attractive JPEGs and excellent Raws
  • Very good photo-focused controls and layout
  • High build quality
  • Image stabilization would be a benefit
  • Fixed rear screen will be limiting
  • Lens isn’t critically sharp at close distances and wide apertures
  • Battery life still not great
  • ‘Film’ color modes are quite extreme
  • Dense, complex menus
  • That price
