Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 P FE Now Available

Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 P FE: B&H Photo

The Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 P FE was first announced a few months ago here, but now the lens is available from B&H Photo under the Samyang and Rokinon names.

Introduction to the Prima Series
The first lens of Samyang’s third-generation lineup and the debut of their new “Prima Series,” the 35mm f/1.4 P FE Lens from Samyang is a fast normal-length prime designed for Sony E-mount full-frame camera systems. Combining a tried-and-true focal length with a bright f/1.4 aperture, this prime is equipped to perform well during everyday shooting and in dimmer lighting conditions. Smooth and accurate autofocus is provided via the lens’s linear stepping motor, which works to reduce noise and minimize focus breathing so that both still and video capturing is reliable and efficient. Complemented with a compact design, the 35mm f/1.4 P FE weighs approximately 1 lb, aiding users during extended shoots.

Redesigned for Improved Quality
The lens’s outer barrel matte finish helps reduce reflections and glare, prevents fingerprints from dirtying it, and enhances overall grip for better handling.

Micro-pattern rubber provides a textured grip for better user control and improved durability.

A sleek, subtle red ring on the front of the lens barrel adds to its professional look.

An optical design with 12 elements in 10 groups, including one HR, one ED, and three aspherical lenses for enhanced image sharpness and contrast.

Additional Lens Benefits

  • USB-C port in the interior of the lens barrel for conveniently making firmware updates which enables the latest features and improvements
  • Weather-sealed construction protects against dust and moisture and allows use in harsher conditions
  • UMC coating reduces lens flare, prevents ghosting, and improves image clarity
