Lesnumeriques published its full review in French of the Sony a9III here, but you can find translated excerpts below:

The electronic superiority of the A9 Mark III is a small earthquake in sports photography. The combination of its global shutter sensor, the viewfinder without fading to black, its AI-assisted autofocus and its crazy bursts allows you to obtain the expected shot without fail. Any action photographer who takes the trouble to pick it up should be convinced of it. That being said, the price to pay in terms of definition and noise limits it to sports/action uses. But in these areas it is clearly the king and it will take a cutting-edge sensor and electronics to shake it up.

Pros

  • Unrivaled AF speed.
  • Best burst available.
  • Very good image quality.
  • Total absence of rolling shutter.
  • Improved grip (for larger hands).
  • Exemplary viewfinder.

Cons

  • Very high price.
  • Smaller ISO range.
  • Definition limited to 24 Mpx.
  • Rates for CFexpress-A cards.
