Pros:

  • very good image quality in the frame centre across the whole focal range,
  • good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,
  • sensible image quality on the edge of full frame,
  • negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
  • moderate lateral chromatic aberration,
  • low spherical aberration in the 70-125 mm range,
  • slight astigmatism,
  • excellent coma correction,
  • silent, quite quick, and accurate autofocus,
  • slight vignetting on the APS-C sensor,
  • practically zero focus breathing,
  • good price/performance ratio.

Cons:

  • a bit too high pincushion distortion,
  • significant vignetting on full frame,
  • spherical aberration makes itself felt on the maximum focal length.
