how2fly has broken a few announcements on Twitter, and the latest is that there will be an announcement event on February 22nd. There are a lot of lenses for E-mount from Tamron already so unless this is a new lens it might just be a new mount for a growing system, but hopefully, it is something exciting for Sony shooters since Tamron has released a lot of great glass for E-mount already.
Tamron will have an announcement next week. It is expected to be on the 22nd of February JST.
