DPReview did a roundup post of the 5 RX100 models to choose from at the moment. I have always preferred the original RX100 because I like the look of it’s original CMOS over the BSI-CMOS that followed in addition to the 28-100mm F1.8-4.9 lens that I find more useful than the newer 24-70mm F1.8-2.8. The RX100 hasn’t made big leaps in performance over the years, but the latest RX100 V is the first major technological step forward in the camera’s line-up in my opinion. There is no doubt that the new RX100 V is a snappy performer compared to its predecessors that only made incremental changes. If you’re interested in DPReview’s break down you can read it here.
