Sony Adds Real-Time Eye AF for Animals To Award-Winning RX10 IV
Firmware update 2.00 adds animal eye tracking, unlocking new shooting possibilities.
Sony today released Firmware Update 2.00 for the Sony RX 10 IV camera, giving users of the camera advanced real-time Eye AF for Animals.
The firmware update, available on Sony’s support page adds this new machine-learning-driven focusing system, and enables Eye-Af activation though a half-press of the shutter.
Real-Time Eye AF for Animals is demonstrated with this video of Loki the Wolfdog.
The RX10 IV received DPReview’s Gold Award, being called the “ultimate 1″ bridge camera” thanks to its “…outstanding image quality” plus phase detect autofocus. The RX10 IV is the only camera in its class to offer this high-performance focusing system, and it’s what powers the RX10 IV Real0Time Eye AF for Animals
