- Sony has better contrast shooting directly into the sun
- The Tamron has a lock as its only function
- Zoom and Focus ring are the opposite of Sony lenses
- The Sony lens looks more professional and it is fully featured
- If you like shooting with bigger gear then you will likely go with the Sony
- Tamron had a great hit rate
- Both have weather sealing
- The Tamron has 1:2 Macro that the Sony can’t compete with
- The close focus performance of the Tamron wakes it great for indoor photography
- If you are using your camera more for cinema get the Sony otherwise get the Tamron
