Philip Bloom Video Auto-Focus Mega Test Finale

The finale of Philip Bloom’s Mega Video Auto Focus Test is finally here with his real world tests. According to Bloom Sony lenses autofocus better in video than Canon ones do, but Canon lenses are more mechanical so they are better for manual focus videographers. The only CDAF camera in this test that does well at all is the Panasonic GH4, but the phase detect haters have a noticeable advantage. Below I listed everything he tested or talked about across his 3 videos, but I might have missed some, because the test is crazy big. Bloom doesn’t really pick a favorite, but he seems to favor the Sony and Canon cameras, but Sony updates their line-up more frequently than Canon.
