Smallish sensor cameras are largely written off by APS-C and full frame shooters, but they shouldn’t be. 1-inch and 4/3 sensors have some unique advantages over their bigger brothers. The most commonly cited advantage is the crop factor for telephoto performance, but these smaller sensor cameras can also have a much higher refresh rate than larger sensors, which provides for snappy auto focus, less rolling shutter and superior EVF performance.
